Bad Samaritan took an original and cool idea and turned it into a movie.  Two friends work as valets for a nice restaurant.  When a customer comes and valets their car, they take the car and break into the person’s house.  Makes sense – they have the garage door opener, address, etc.  It’s pretty original (and a little scary that it’s feasible).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All is going as planned until one of the guys breaks into the house of a guy…who happens to be holding a girl captive.  Kind of throws a wrench into the plans, eh?  Just came here to rob the place, lady, you’re going to need to quiet down.  Then the kidnapper\/restaurant goer suddenly shows up like um, where’s my car and the guy is like fuck!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The movie turns into a fun cat and mouse where the ending is never really in doubt.  Oddly, there are a lot of loose ends that aren’t tied up.  The main character was pretty in love with his girlfriend who gets beaten up by the killer.  She gets mad at him and the last interaction we see is her saying “Go Away” and the main leaving.  That’s it?  No way.  No way he doesn’t go back and say “See, honey, I took care of him!” (spoiler alert, I guess)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I’ve said, it was original.  The reason why the guy is a serial killer is kind of….weird?  Doesn’t make a lot of sense and we don’t get a full background.  I’m honestly not sure why this was an hour 45 long because they forgot to close a bunch of shit.  I don’t know.  Don’t make me overthink it or I’ll lower the rating even more.  But…

Let’s tackle the serious question.  If you get hit in the head with a shovel – are you getting back up…like ever?  With an axe handle – like 4 times in the head.  You’re fucked, right?  You’re not “staggering.”  No.  You’re dead.  Overall, probably more of a CSI episode (which is only an hour in length) than a full film, but it was decent for a movie you’ve certainly never heard of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
