11:03 \u2013 a revelation occurred as we debated what was for\nlunch. Burger King is running a special\nof $1 for 10 chicken nuggets \u2013 extrapolate that out and that\u2019s 100 nuggets for\n$10. We can get 100 chicken nuggets for\n$10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
11:04 \u2013 left the office. \nOkay, no, it was later but I pulled into the drive-thru confidently. Can I get \u201c10-10 piece nuggets?\u201d \u201cOkay, so you want 100 nuggets?\u201d \u201cI guess if\nyou put it that way, jeesh lady. Oh, and\n2 iced coffees please.\u201d $14.96 and\nenough food to kill an army. The crazy\npart? We didn\u2019t wait. We drove up and they were like hey, here\u2019s a\nbag full of sauces and here\u2019s 100 nuggets you fat fucks! We drove off ecstatic. Time to unpack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Methodology \u2013 we weren\u2019t sure if we should go hard and fast\nat the beginning or slow play it. We had\nall afternoon free. We went hard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
11:41 \u2013 100 nuggets, 4 ranch, 4 sweet and sour, 2 BBQ, 2 Zesty,\n2 Buffalo, and 2 Honey Mustard sauces (I think we were shorted) but I just told\nthe lady to surprise us, so you get what you get.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adam polishes off 10 first. Luke not far behind. Misty hasn\u2019t stopped talking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
11:46 \u2013 Adam has eaten 14 nuggets, Luke 11, Misty is talking a lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Everyone is eating their nuggets with their right hand. My keyboard is getting greasy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
11:48 (7 minutes elapsed) Adam has eaten 20 nuggets; Luke 15;\nMisty 9 \u2013 but she is STILL talking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
11:49 (8 minutes elapsed) regret is still far out of\nsight. Powering along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
11:51 (10 minutes elapsed) Adam has 28 down; Luke has 20\ndown; Misty has 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We ate \u00be (75\/100) of the nuggets in 14 minutes and everyone\nlooks a little fuzzy. Am I dying? What\u2019s that gurgling sound? Lots of chewing. Lots of sounds. Misty STOPPED talking omg is Misty dead?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I offered Adam 10 more after 40 and he pre-puked a\nlittle. 17 minutes have gone by and we\nwent way too hard way too quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s 12:15. It\u2019s been 34 minutes since this challenged\nstarted. Adam has eaten 40 nuggets. Luke has eaten 24 nuggets. Misty has eaten 20 nuggets. Somehow 16 nuggets remain and the group looks\ndejected. Misty left. She may never be seen again. No one has touched a nugget in a while. We\u2019ve debated what\u2019s truly inside the\nnuggets. Sounds like a Master Debater\ntopic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
12:18 (37 minutes elapsed) Adam looks me in the eyes and\nsays \u201cGIVE ME THE LAST 10 PIECE.\u201d Everything\nmoved in slow motion. After one nugget,\nhe retracts and says it was a bit aggressive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I left to go to the bathroom (non-nugget related) and came\nback and Adam wasn\u2019t moving. I\u2019m not\nsure if it was a coma or what, but I\u2019m not going to worry about it for a\nbit. I think he just snorted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We\u2019ve decided we can\u2019t stop. \nI take a bite of my 25th<\/sup> nugget. No sauce. \nJust\u2026stuff. You feel great and\nthen once you have one you feel like you\u2019re dying again. It\u2019s actually crazy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 12:31 (50 minutes elapsed). \nThere are 9 nuggets left and egos are rising. This is no longer a team effort. Individuality has crept in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 12:34 (53 minutes elapsed). \nWe called Misty back. She went\nwith the Zesty sauce and I heard a lone fan from outside my office cheer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 12:39 (58 minutes elapsed). \nI walked to get water and burped 8 times. I walked back in to see a lone nugget and I\ntossed that mother fucker in my mouth and did it. We ate 100 nuggets in 58 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Final Tallies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Adam \u2013 50 nuggets<\/p>\n\n\n\n Luke \u2013 26 nuggets<\/p>\n\n\n\n Misty \u2013 24 nuggets<\/p>\n\n\n\n **Note** I was definitely the weak link on the team and I\u2019m\nsorry.
