As the resident movie “expert,” I’m going to keep you guys posted on movies I’m looking forward to during the year. The first month we are going to look forward to is (surprise) November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first weekend in November will really rock you because *gasp* Bohemian Rhapsody comes out (get the rock you pun….nevermind). This biopic about Queen is not on my list, but I’m just saying it comes out. My list doesn’t start until the second weekend in November – November 7th. Here, we have a star studded lineup. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The most anticipated film I have on the list is The Girl in the Spider’s Web<\/a>. This is an out of order film in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo series, which I’m beyond excited to see. Check out the trailer (above) if you’ve not taken a look at this one. Going to be good. The other two films coming out this weekend are going to be polar opposites. The new animated film, The Grinch<\/a> comes out with Benedict Cumberbatch playing the mean ol Grinch. I’m not sure how this one will be (you’re not going to beat the Jim Carey version) but I’m going to give it a watch. The last film for this weekend I’m looking forward to is Overlord<\/a>. Overlord is the story of two American soldiers behind enemy lines on D Day which seems like an interesting story. I’m not usually huge on war movies, but a well-done war movie could be movie of the month for me (wow, I really should do movie of the months *takes notes*).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fast forward 7 days (ring voice) and I WILL NOT be watching Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Sue me. All I’ve got for this week is Widows<\/a>, the story of a group of women with nothing in common except for their late husbands left them with a pile of debt…so they take matters into their own hands and stage a heist. I’m a sucker for heist movies (obviously, I did just watch The Hurricane Heist<\/a>) so I’m certainly giving this one a watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Moving forward, we have another great week on November 21. Creed II<\/a> comes out and I can’t wait to watch Michael B. Jordan be a badass for a second straight movie. That guy is money. Robin Hood<\/a> has me skeptical but I’m going to check it out. I didn’t think a Robin Hood film with Russell Crowe would be a let down but the last one was AWFUL. Is it possibly a Disney movie from 1973 is really the best done film about the famous outlaw? Lastly for November 21, I’m going out on a limb to try Green Book<\/a>. Green Book is a film about a working class Italian-American who becomes the driver of an African-American pianist who tours across the south. This is set in the 1960s and is, from what I’ve seen, going to tackle race issues as well as personal issues. It’s one of those “have to be in the mood” type of films, but I will watch it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Unfortunately, Thanksgiving interferes with the end of the month and the movies pretty much stop.
