Not going to lie guys – as I sit here writing this blog, I took a second to reflect on this weird little gambling thing that started off because I was curious and it sounded fun. And now has lead to be my hobby, my weekly segment, and basically my persona. I know its turned into something that all of my friends on Snapchat are tired of seeing me post about. But some people have even started asking me for my picks (It’s only like 5 people, but still, you have to start somewhere). Hell, when I was home for Thanksgiving, even my mom asked how my picks were doing! (Thanks for supporting all of my crazy, stupid passions Mama, love you) I really thought I would’ve ran out of money a long time ago but we’re still kicking. So thank you for following along and watching me bet on sports while trying to write funny blogs.
Ok, enough of all that. Back to the degenerate goodness that you came here for:
Last week was another solid week. I went 18-12 It was definitely my busiest week as a gambler. Having the week off and all of those College Basketball Tournaments on made it pretty easy to just sit on the couch and bet bet bet.
Here are this weeks picks:
The Big Ten/ACC challenge is going on this week and as someone who has grown up in Big Ten Country and went to a Big Ten School, I’ve always enjoyed this little get together that they do. I can only watch Purdue beat Robert Morris by 40 so many times before I start to crave some games that actually matter, and this is a good time to watch some big time match ups before conference play.
On Tuesday, I’m going with some underdogs. Everyone loves dogs, so why not bet on some? Just a bunch of good boys going out there and playing hard. I’m really interested to see how Pitt does this year. They were a hot mess last year but they got a new coach, Jeff Capel, Coach K’s right hand man at Duke and unofficially the guy who paid all of the 1-and-dones to go to Duke in recent years. Can he use his check writing ability to lift this once proud Pitt program back? He’s a money guy so I’ll bet my money on it (Never Doubt a Money Guy, also I’m so mad at iu and Duke for not being able to hit free throws! the over missed by 3 points and they missed a combined 23 Free Throws!!! I hope they are running suicides until they puke for that performance.) [P.S. this will teach me not to trust iu to do anything] {P.S.S iu sucks}
I had so much fun betting the Big Ten/ACC challenge on Tuesday that I might as well get back at it on Wednesday. Looks like a night of fun, action packed games. Gimme the Boilers as Underdogs any day of the week. (They didn’t win the game, but they did win the bet, and whats really more important?) I will go on the record as saying – I don’t know if Purdue will win a lot of games this year, but they will be fun to watch. NPOTY candidate Carsen Edwards is in range as soon as he steps in the gym. He’s never seen a shot he doesn’t like and as we all know: Shooters Shoot. Michigan/UNC should be a lot of fun fas well. Hopefully they know how to shoot free throws and this over goes better than iu/Duke (They did, over city baby)
Thursday Night Football = Over, you all should know that by now. (Sad Face)
Big weekend in college football, its championship weekend. And that is where my Money Shot is. Ohio State -15 over Northwestern. Urban Meyer just doesn’t seem to lose in big games. Also I’m pretty sure he sold his soul to the devil (check out our youtube page to hear more about that). OSU still has an outside chance to get in the playoffs but they will have to really crush Northwestern to do so, so they will bring their best. (The Money Shot is the gift that keeps on giving)
On to Sunday. The Colts simply do not know how to lose anymore. It’s wild. They are a lot of fun right now and will keep it rolling against the Jags. (They did not, this game was Stinky. It was maybe the worst football game I’ve ever watched)
